I've always loved stepping into other people's worlds and finding the part I can help with — even without being an expert in their field.

I first became involved in bookkeeping when I worked at The Surveyors' Company. I wasn't a Surveyor and had none of the technical knowledge that the Directors possessed, but along the way I became the person who kept their numbers straight, their systems running, and their finances under control. They always respected and appreciated the work I did, and often referred to me as their guru. This has led to me wanting to do the same thing ever since.

That's really what I love about this job. I don't need to be an expert in your industry — I just need to understand your business well enough to take the numbers off your hands completely, and give you back the headspace to focus on what you're actually good at, and what you enjoy doing.

Since then, I have gained my bookkeeping qualification through the AAT and am now a licensed bookkeeper with the ICB (Institute of Certified Bookkeepers) and a Xero partner. I bring a background in HR and data analysis that means I don't just process your numbers, I can explain them clearly, without the jargon and without making you feel silly for not already knowing the answer.

What I believe

Business owners are brilliant at what they do — but most of them didn't start their business to become an accountant, and most of them genuinely dread trying. I believe every business owner deserves to understand their own numbers, not just receive them. Numbers should give you confidence to make decisions — not anxiety every time you open your accounting software. My job is to replace financial uncertainty with clarity, confidence, and control, so you can focus on running your business, and enjoying your life outside it.

My mission

I want owner-led businesses to have access to the kind of financial support they'd expect from a good in-house finance team — without having to build one themselves. I want every client to feel properly in control of their finances: to know their numbers are right, understand what they actually mean, know what's coming next, and have someone alongside them who knows their business well enough to spot issues, ask the right questions, and help them make informed decisions.
